Romans 12 (The Message)

^1-2 So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

The Invitation cont'd

At the core of who I am, lies longing yet to be satisfied by anyone or anything found on this side of eternity. Encompassed by desire burns a flame, spirit. It burns for one thing, Christ alone. This illumination isn't the point, more simply an invitation into the depths of His love. Past striving, past morality, through a door framed by holiness, humility, suffering and grace. As far as I can see there seems to be no end, the invitation having no limits as far as depth is concerned, endless. "You can go as far as you want to." In this place, rationalization is striving, while the eb and flow of giving and receiving of His love are the only currency needed for the journey. Knowledge is Christ. Faith is how I reach out and touch the invisible.
